Welcome, We're Glad You're Here. Whatever the reason, whether you're hungry or hurt, lonely or lost, full of questions or looking for a home, there's a place for you at Orchard Park United Methodist Church (OPUMC).
OPUMC is located in the town of Orchard Park, NY, in the suburbs south of Buffalo, NY.
The building was designed by a protégé of Frank Lloyd Wright.
We have approximately 70 active church families (including single person families).
We offer programs specifically for:
- Children (Education, Church Camp, and many special events)
- Youth (Education, Church Camp, UMYF)
- Young Adults (Education)
- Men (Men's Group)
- Women (UMW)
- Older Adults (OWLS)
- Families & Adults (Education, study groups, prayer groups, choir, ...)
We actively reach out to others in the local community, throughout the nation, and the world.
Our church has easy access entrances, an easy access unisex rest room, and a Liftovator for easy access between floors.
We serve Fair Trade coffee (including de-caf). We recycle and we breathe safe air (no smoking).
OPUMC is part of the connectional system of United Methodist Churches.
For more information on the larger organization, you can visit the general church site. Additional sites are listed on the Resources page.
"Caring for the Body and the Soul"
We are working to bring an end to Hunger while feeding the hungry.
"Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors"
God is the spiritual parent, the creator, who loves unconditionally, saves, heals, renews, and empowers us through the Holy Spirit so that we may be in Service for others.
The Christian Scriptures, as carefully and contextually interpreted for today's living, are the basis of our discipleship.
"To live the gospel of Jesus Christ and to be God's love with out neighbors in all places"
